Loaned Executives

What is a Loaned Executive?

Each year, our campaign is staffed by a small, but enthusiastic group of federal employees, called "Loaned Executives" (LEs for short). These federal personnel are loaned to our campaign from their home agencies for a period of approximately four months (mid-August through mid-December), and are the movers and shakers of the CFC world.

LEs partner with a variety of local Federal Agencies to help manage and administer their individual CFC campaigns. LEs help plan events, ensure their assigned agencies receive campaign materials, and collect campaign pledges as well. The LE experience is a great developmental and diversification tour that provides federal employees the opportunity to gain or improve a variety of critical skills, to include public speaking, project management, and interpersonal skills just to name a few.

To learn more, please take a few moments and review our Loaned Executive Brochure. If you are interested in being an LE Team Member for 2009, or would like additional information regarding the program, please contact Linda Siegle, Chair of the Local Federal Coordinating Committee at 410-962-4049 or via email to lindasiegle.baltfeb@verizon.net.

LE Quotes

"It was a very enriching experience, especially seeing the non-profit agencies in our community during training week and throughout the campaign. The training definitely provided great skills to do this important job."

-Karen Hauhn, US Postal Service

"It was fun. It was exasperating. It was a moving experience, and it has had a profound effect on me. It reminded me how fortunate I am and to be grateful for the blessings and good fortune that I enjoy. As a public servant I don't get to see the difference I make in the lives of other people on a daily basis. As an LE, I got to see first-hand the difference monies donated to CFC make in the lives of everyday citizens who are no different from us. I got more out of the experience than I gave, and I will always be grateful for the experience.

-Melodye Ray, DCMA
